"Crossing in St. Augustine"

On the hot summer night of June 9, 1964, Andrew Young arrived in St. Augustine, Florida, under orders from Martin Luther King Jr. to shut down local demonstrators who, he feared, could jeopardize passage of the Civil Rights Act. But less than one hour later, Young found himself the reluctant leader of a dangerous march through the streets of America's oldest city and toward a gathering mob of hundreds of Ku Klux Klansmen. Certain he could reason with the mob, Young started to cross the intersection of King and St. George... and what next would change not only his life, but also the course of history. This is the feature length documentary version, never seen in its entirety on television.
